Built to load quickly without piling on unnecessary features.
No setup fee. No hosting bill. No surprise pitch afterwards. I’m building a new portfolio of real UK small-business websites for Ratiom, so I’m giving a limited number away for £0.
I want Ratiom’s UK portfolio to be built from real businesses, not fictional concepts. Instead of putting that budget into ads, I’d rather put the work into a small number of useful websites.
You get a professionally built website.
I get a genuine UK project I can show as an example of my work. If you’re pleased with the result, I’d also appreciate a short written review about the experience.
That’s the reason for the offer. There is no paid package you have to buy afterwards.
The site will be designed around your actual business, your services and the action you want a visitor to take next.
Built to load quickly without piling on unnecessary features.
Easy to read, tap and contact you from the phone your customer is already holding.
People should understand what you do and where you work within seconds.
Calls, messages and enquiries are treated as the job of the page, not an afterthought.
A domain is simply your website address — something like yourbusiness.co.uk.
You buy it yourself from a domain registrar such as GoDaddy or Namecheap, so it is registered in your name and under your control. I’ll help you connect it to the website.
I’ll host the website itself for free.
You are not renting it from me and you are not locked into Ratiom.
If you want to move it elsewhere later, or have another developer take over, that is completely fine. The finished site is yours.
Local businesses are not only competing with the business down the road. They are competing with the standard of convenience people experience everywhere else online.
Customers are used to opening an app, understanding what happens next and taking action without friction. Your website should feel just as straightforward.
Platforms such as Taskrabbit package services neatly and make it easy to choose someone. A clean website gives your own business a professional place to compete on its own terms.
Not everyone has Instagram or Facebook. Everyone with a browser can open your website. It also gives you one place to send people from Google, WhatsApp, flyers, recommendations and business cards.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working across websites, digital marketing, ecommerce and conversion. I’m the person who will actually work on your site from start to finish.
For me, this is not about making a pretty page for the sake of it. A small-business website should be a useful business asset: it should make you look credible, explain what you do quickly and make it easy for somebody to call, message or enquire.
That experience — knowing what to leave out as much as what to put in — is what makes the offer useful.
You tell me about the business. I build the site. You review it. We put it online.
You do not need to prepare a specification. I only need the facts about the business and enough material to represent it properly.
Tell me what the business does and how customers normally contact you.
Your logo, contact details, services and any useful photographs or examples.
I turn the information into a clean one-page website designed around the business.
You check the facts, the presentation and anything important before launch.
You buy your domain, I connect it, and the website is published.
Tell me a little about the business. I’m looking for genuine UK businesses that already have the basics in place and can give me enough information to build something useful.
A short review is appreciated if you are happy with the finished work. With your permission, I may quote it on the Ratiom website or in Ratiom marketing alongside the finished project. It is one of the reasons I am running the offer, but there is no hidden payment or required upsell.
Share the basics and mention “One For a Oner” in your message so I know you are applying for the free portfolio offer.
No payment is needed. Your details are used to respond to your application. Privacy Policy
The offer is deliberately simple. These are the things I would want to know before applying.
There isn't one. I'm building a fresh UK portfolio for Ratiom and I want it to be made up of real businesses and real work. You get the website at no charge. If you're happy with the result, I ask for a short written review and permission to show the site as an example of my work.
No. There is no required upgrade, hosting plan or sales pitch at the end. If you choose to work with me again later, that's up to you. This offer stands on its own.
You may already get work through recommendations or social media. The website gives potential customers a simple place to check what you do, see your work, find your contact details and compare you with other businesses. It also gives you somewhere permanent to publish practical information such as cancellation rules or your own terms, so you have something clear to refer back to if a dispute ever comes up.
Keep using them if they work for you. A website does a different job: anyone with a browser can access it, no account is required, and you control the content. That can be especially useful for people who don't use the same social platforms as you, including older customers.
Yes. The site is yours. Your domain should be bought in your own name as well. If you later want to move the website to another suitable host or hand it to another developer, you're free to do that.
No hosting bill, no required upgrade and no lock-in. If you have a genuine business, a logo and the information I need, apply below.
